A/P FORCEPS WITH GROOVE IN JAW
A little practice is all it takes to learn how to use the tools.
IMPORTANT
1. Begin with the forceps jaws closed, but NOT LOCKED
2. Start EXACTLY as shown in the first illustration
with line riding in the groove around the tip of the forceps.
3. Hold the line FIRMALY between thumb and forefinger.
Tension must be kept on the line sot that it remains in the GROOVE.
4. Leave ½ inch of line end exposed so you
can grab it with jaws of the forceps. Start with large flies and
heavy tippets for practice
